I have not written in a while – I apologize.
Today I went to a picnic with an association where I have one of my internships. There were about twenty kids that went and they came with their families – moms, dads, sisters and brothers, grandparents – and we had a great time. It was really interesting to see the interactions between different people because, in general, there is just so much more affection here.
As a volunteer at the picnic, while the families of the kids talked, I helped come up with activities for the kids and explain them. The association I work with is for children with physical and mental disabilities. It was definitely challenging at points today, trying to change some activities around to fit the capabilities of each kid, but it was worth it because we all enjoyed the time together.
