And somehow it’s Semana Santa..which is the Spanish term for Holy Week! It is a very important weeks here, it is the week preceding Easter in the Catholic Calender. So it is basically a vacation for everyone here and most people pack on up and head to la playa!! San Jose for the most part is deserted, my host mom said. Well, my friends and I are off to Bocas del Toro District in Panama! I am beyond excited- I leave in 5 hours..at 4 tomorrow morning woohoo! A few people have already gone and said it was gorgeous, so I am excited to snap a bunch of pictures and share them when I come back on Tuesday! Then I have to figure out what I want to do for the second half! I am so grateful for the opportunities and all the adventures I have gone on, I am (no offense) dreading my plane ride back. I’m trying my best not to think about it, but I am so in love with this country, the people, and the lifelong friends I have made. I can honestly say these have been the best months of my life. I am so excited for these memories I will get to share with friends and family for the rest of my life. I am encouraging everyone I know to study abroad because they will honestly never regret it..and that they should come experience the culture here in CR!! Well I’m off to bed, buenas noches!
