Public transportation is easily one of my favorite things about Barcelona. The convenience, affordability, and timeliness of transportation make it easy for anyone to navigate the city! For my semester in Barcelona, I purchased a T-Jove card which allows me unlimited travel for 90 days (pretty much my whole semester here) for €44. I take public transportation pretty much anywhere I go in the city, with the pass I have been able to take a day trip to the beautiful Montserrat and I’ve been able to get to and from the airport when I go on weekend trips to different parts of Europe.

Public transportation tends to be quite busy, especially during afternoon rushes in the city. But it’s super easy to become accustomed to it. If a bus is ever too crowded, you can wait around 10 minutes for the next one, or take another form of transportation (tram/metro). Barcelona’s public tranportation was designed with convenience in mind, so if you ever find yourself in the city, don’t be scared of taking advantage of the public transportation. Last time I was on the metro, I even had the luck of having a cute little pug snuggle up against me, which started my day off perfectly 🙂
