So my abroad experience has officially begun. It’s about two thirty here now, we were up at eight (against my own will) to get a jump start on the day, touring various places around San Jose (al capital). It’s been such an adventure already, things are different here yet the same. The locals (ticos) have their own mthods of assimilating American culture in their conservative, catholic dominated society. People dress much more American than I had expected, jeans are everywhere, as well as American music. Today we learned the ropes of the city, the banks, churches, bus stations, shopping centers and other significant/ important places in the city. Well, that’s all I have time for now, onto the other half of San Jose this afternoon! Nos Vemos!
