Hola!
October had been such an amazing experience for me, words can not express how grateful I am!
The first weekend of October a group of us completed a hike up to San Juan De Gaztelugatxe. The hike will leave you sore the next morning, but it is so rewarding when you finally get there. At the top of the hill is a church and a stunning view of Bakio. There are caves on the sides and the water is so beautiful! It was such an accomplishment to hike all the way to the top.
The following weekend I went to Lagos, Portugal. I went through a program called DiscoverExcursions and they did a great job at organizing a fun and safe trip! During this trip we did a sangria cruise, went to what was known as “the end of the world”, and cliff hiking. The picture below is an exclusive beach that we found after we went cliff hiking.
The following weekend was also really cool because the famous museum in Bilbao, The Guggenheim, hosted a huge event. The Guggenheim is a very detailed building that represents Bilbao taking a turn in their history and heading down a different path. Therefore, the building is very symbolic to their history and culture. The event that I went to had a live performance and tons of dancing. Once I got into the event I was also allowed to check out the museum, so I considered myself lucky to experience two things at once.
This past weekend was probably my favorite because I traveled to Morocco, Africa! I went with the same company that I went with for Portugal. In Morocco we visited major cities such as Chefchaouen, Tangiers, and Assilah. We did a day tour in Medina, which is known as “the blue city” and I fell in love with it! I also got to ride a camel and play with baby camels, which was so much fun.
This experience has been breathe taking. I still miss people back at home, but exploring Europe and Africa has been a great distraction. I can’t believe that I have already made it to the half way mark.
