Did I Come to London for Harry Potter?

While most come to London for Big Ben and the Tower Bridge, I came to tour the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio. Just kidding… but actually I knew that this was on my bucket list before I even landed in Heathrow. The culture in England has been so wonderful to experience. One thing that I did not realize before coming, is that I could go to a different town in London every single day of being here, there are so many! That has been one of my favorite parts, I love exploring all the different boroughs and learning all of their distinct characteristics.

The Warner Bros Studio is actually 20 minutes outside of Central London, located in Leavesden, Watford. To get there, I had to take a train from the closest station, which is 5 minutes away to my university, or uni as the Brits call it.

I go to St. Mary’s University in Twickenham, London. I have been having a great time here and I could not recommend St. Mary’s more!

Okay back to Harry, if you are planning a visit to London, I recommend checking out the studio where all the main scenes of the series were filmed. As a Harry Potter fan, I spent 3 hours going through every room and learning all the details. Before leaving, I obviously went to the gift shop where I purchased a Hagrid mug, Gryffindor quill and a postcard. My personal favorite room to explore was Gringotts Bank and I thought the coolest part was being able to see both the normal bank and the 2nd destroyed version.
