The best part of being in Madrid is that there is so much to see! On a typical weekend I like to go adventure with my friends and see new places. My day starts out getting on the metro which is super easy to navigate! I take the metro to Retiro Park where there are endless places to eat, places to sit and read a book, rent out a kayak, etc!
Madrid is a beautiful place to be if you love culture, beautiful sights, and art! Museums in Madrid are home to many beautiful and famous pieces of work. The next stop is…The Prado Museum. I love going and using my student discount which is FREE! Many museums offer free entry for students.
After all that walking, I rented out a bike and rode to the most beautiful part of the city (in my opinion, Gran Via. Gran Via is a street with many restaurants, shops, bars, etc. You could spend the entire day here and not get sick if it. It can be a dangerous spot for your wallet if you are trying not to spend money because you will want everything you see! Also, it is a great place to get your nightly sweet treat!
