Let me tell you a few reasons why I chose to study abroad for a semester. Well, with the profession I want to get involved in, that being the field of Special Education, when in my life am I ever going to be able to live, explore, and eat my way through Europe for four months? You’ve got that right- never. I want to learn…everything; and simply that thought puts a smile across my face from ear to ear- I want to learn about my ancestors and where my traditions arose from (Benevento, Italy). I want to live in a different culture and explore their daily schedules. I want to learn it all. What I hear from other study abroad students is that, four months is not nearly enough time for all the excursions…too bad I already purchased my roundtrip ticket…
